So here it is – the long awaited website redesign launch!
In 2022 it was decided by members to redesign our website to better reflect to the general public what SASNA has to offer and even more importantly, to offer members better access to the resources on offer through membership.
After months of working alongside Mike and his team from BRAVE, we are finally ready to reveal to the world a fresh style, clarity of purpose, better categorisation of and access to resources and a few new features.
Over the next few months we will endeavour to share more information about how members can get the best out of this new website, highlighting new features and encouraging feedback and input to keep the content current, relevant and useful to schools nurses in South Australia … and even beyond.
To start with, let’s focus in on membership and what has changed to enable easier registration. Your annual membership registration fee will remain the same $75 for renewal with membership running on a calendar year from January to December each year. Now, instead of printing, completing, scanning, and returning a form via email, the registration can be completed online. Payment no longer requires any major effort or visits to ATMs prior to a SASNA meetings to pay in cash. The newly designed website allows you to enter your card details at the beginning of the year to renew your membership and maintain access to all your great membership perks.
New members to SASNA can now join at any point in the year and will only have to pay for pro-rata membership until renewing again in January each year. And, with so many benefits, why wouldn’t they choose to join?
- CONNECT with other school nurses through twice termly meetings (online attendance available), a private Facebook Group, frequent social media posts and a members’ directory, inclusive of photos, locations and contact details.
- SUPPORT and be supported by experienced school nurses throughout the year via forums, video-links and direction on best practice in school nursing from nurses all around South Australia and further afield.
- DEVELOP your practice through a newly categorised resource pool with useful links to trusted websites, accessible presentations from experts in a variety of fields relevant to school nursing, a calendar of CPD opportunities, group discussions on relevant matters and latest news and research.
And there is much more to follow in the coming months as we add to our new website, including access to a SASNA YouTube channel featuring videos of meetings, resources for teaching, online workshops, shared policy templates and opportunities to participate in research to help shape the future of school nursing.
Please keep checking in regularly to make the most of YOUR new SASNA website … and let us know how we can continue to support you in your role as a school nurse.
